Meet Clare

I’m Clare, the torchbearer behind Celestial Keys – a ceremonialist, folk witch, tapping enthusiast, and evolutionary astrologer.

I carry a Master’s degree in Religious Studies with a focus on Ritual Theory and American Metaphysical Traditions, and taught at the university level for six years. 

My academic background informs my deep curiosity about the roles religion and spirituality play in shaping our cultural context, while my lived path as a folk witch roots me in direct relationship with the land, Spirit, and cosmos.

My own journey has included deconstructing my California spiritual-but-not-religious (SBNR) upbringing, rebirth through multiple dark-night-of-the-soul experiences, intuitive awakening, healing with sacred mushroom medicine, completing an 11-month spiritual mentorship, reclaiming my magick through land-based spirituality and ancestral connection, and burning my old life to the ground (including leaving a 20 year relationship) as I claimed my authentic self.  

These experiences are woven into my work as an intuitive guide, Hekatean witch, and stargazer – as I offer a torch to light the way as others enter the thresholds of their own underworld journey.
